The Virginia Mason Memorial (VMM) RN Residency Program is a 10-week mentorship program designed to help the new RN make a smooth transition from student to nursing professional. Uniquely, our RN Residents can explore their license throughout the hospital. Each week Residents collaborate with the program managers to determine their schedule, which can include nearly every department/unit in the hospital. No matter which departments our RN Residents choose to experience, they enjoy dedicated preceptors and a weekly class with instruction in sepsis, labs, and much more. Residents are scheduled to 40 hours each week for 10 weeks. Residents are paid, temporary employees who we hope will apply to permanent positions when they identify their preferred department/unit. Our next RN Residency Program will start on Friday, February 19, 2021.

•10-week program; Residents enjoy the same rate of pay as other new RNs at VMM and full benefits.
•No contract required; the goal is to hire Residents who apply to Full-Time, onoging RN roles with VMM.
•Customized experience; RN Residents work with the program manager to determine which units they will work in each week.
•40 hours per week; the schedule does not include weekends or holidays during the Residency Program.
•In-person & video interviews (as needed) will be scheduled; offers will be extended on a rolling basis until cohort is full.
•Winter 2021 Residency Program start date is 2/19/2021. Candidates must have an active WA State (DOH) RN license no later than 2/16/2021.
•This RN Residency Program comes with a 1-year employment commitment following the conclusion of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Washington State (DOH) Registered Nurse licensure required. American Heart Association BLS required.
Additional requirements: Must be able to start work no later than February 19, 2021. Must be able to work day and/or night shifts.Time off will not be granted during the Residency period
