Job Description

We are looking for a CNA/Care Partner II - National Union of Health Workers with the Acute Rehab Department at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Work Schedule: On call / Per diem

Shift: 8 Hour Nights

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of an RN or LVN, the CNA/Care Partner will provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.

Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written).

  • Ability to interact with patient, co-workers, and physicians in a courteous, service oriented manner.
  • Demonstrates an attitude of cooperation and flexibility by responding to varying and unpredictable situations.
  • Demonstrates ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to transport and lift patients using hospital approved lifting devices or techniques.
  • Ekg.
  • Assemble oxygen equipment.
  • Blood glucose monitoring (acute only).
  • Attend four (4) hours of Care Partner training offered by St. Joseph Health System – Greater Sonoma County.
  • All ratings on performance evaluation are on target (OT) or above.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

License / Certification:

  • Current CNA Certificate required for SNF departments/ preferred for other departments
  • CPR Certification within 60 days of hire.

Experience : Previous healthcare experience in training program or in work setting.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

  • Medical terminology
  • Computer skills
