High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to respond quickly and calmly under stressful or emergency situations.
Requires flexibility in scheduling with the ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required.
Current certification from Virginia or North Carolina as an EMT (or military equivalent, i.e.: Military Occupational Specialty-Medical Specialist MOS91B or 91W) or active, unrestricted Certified Nurses’ Aide (CNA) certification by the Virginia Board of Nursing required.

Prior experience as an ED Tech, EMT or CNA in an Emergency Department setting or one year experience as a Clinical Associate at DRMC preferred.
