They must demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple patient treatments in an efficient manner, meeting required time deadlines. They must work in a self directed manner and anticipate customer needs. Interpret lab values, report to physician and assess/implement potential treatment charges. Provide patient education about diagnosis and treatment. The staff must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures. Conducts focused wound assessment. Uses wound dressings per formulary. Collects wound cultures per policy.
