Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff. Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.

Our Emergency Center at Mary Black has 24 beds and sees about 115 patients a day. Our Nurse to patient ratio is about 1:4, sometimes 1:5. It is a fast-paced environment with a lot of teamwork, and a great group of people. They are very professional and have a great patient experience.
