Position Summary

The NICU RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.


Position Summary:
  • 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
  • Maiintains Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification & BLS
  • OB nursing certification preferred
  • Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire
