Join Harborview Medical Center's teams of outstanding outpatient clinic nurses! (Registered Nurse 2; RN2).  Harborview Medical Center is a level one adult and pediatric trauma center as well as regional burn center for a four state region; a teaching and research hospital for the University of Washington; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community.
Current Harborview outpatient clinic openings:

**Medical Respite, Jefferson Terrace**
90% (72 hours every two weeks), variable shift, 80 hour work period, 12 hour shifts including at least one weekend every other week.
Per diem/hourly, variable shift position
The Edward Thomas House Medical Respite at Jefferson Terrace, is a collaborative project among six area hospitals and Health Care for the Homeless Network. The program provides nursing care 16 hours per day and non-clinical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Nurses provide up to twice daily care for acute issues, as well as IV infusion and complicated wound care. Mental health clinicians complete a psychosocial screening to assess housing, mental health and funding needs.
Minimum Qualification:
Two years of RN nursing experience and familiar working with the patient population. 

**Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic**
100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at Harborview provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. These conditions include impacted teeth, oral pathology, facial trauma, head and neck infections, maxillofacial reconstruction/implants, dentofacial deformities, temporomandibular joint disorders, and teeth extractions.
Conscious sedation experience

**Eye Institute Clinic**
100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift, Monday-Friday 0800-1630, (& 0900-1730 when covering late clinics), all holidays off.
The Eye Institute is a fast paced worksite seeing close to 200 patients a day.
The staff nurse at the UW Medicine Eye Institute will provide dedicated nursing support to:
*The ocular oncology service. 
*Organizing weekly medications with the pharmacy teams.
*Discuss medical issues with patients who have a new diagnosis of eye cancer.
*Provide patient education.
*Responsible for providing support across the UW Medicine Eye Institute to include telephone triage, lab draws, IV placement for clinic tests and clinic workflow. 
*You must be self-directed, motivated, organized and be able to interpret information related to polices, procedure and programs.

**4MB- Podiatry Clinic**
90% FTE (36 hours per week), Day Shift (Mon-Fri, closing position)
This position will work primarily with the 4MB Podiatry Clinic, the RN will also assist the other 4MB Clinics as needed.
HMC’s 4MB Podiatry Clinic treats patients for multiple foot disorders including the high risk Diabetic foot patient population. 4MB offers follow-up care for UW Medicine patients discharged from a hospital setting. The Podiatry Nurse is responsible to review clinic for the week and provide MD support as needed. The RN’s roles and responsibilities include but not limited to Pre Operative teaching, wound care, telephone triage and patient education..
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with one or more of the following:
Outpatient Care in an Ambulatory setting
Urgent Care
Inpatient Experience
Orthopedics & Podiatry experience
Experience in telephone triage

**Family Medicine Clinic** 
80% FTE (32 hours per week), Day Shift,
The Family Medicine Clinic at Harborview provides patients and their families with high quality comprehensive health care. Our medical staff emphasize prevention to help patients stay healthy.

**7MB-Specialty Clinics** (1. Hematology/Oncology Clinic- Care Manager, 2. Urology/General Surgery/Chest)
1. 7MB-Hematology/Oncology Clinic, Care Manager, 100% FTE (40 hours per week, M-F), Day shift position (no weekends or holidays).
The Hematology/Oncology Clinic, RN2-Care Manager is the consistent and primary contact for patients and their families, provides guidance as patients transition from one therapy to another, provides effect management, coordinates clinic appointments, assists with referrals and ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies and procedures and ensure it is done in a timely matter.
As assigned by the AACS clinic practice manager and/or RN3--Participates in clinic and selected divisional activities to promote delivery problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others.
Minimum qualifications:
Licensed as a RN to work in the state of WA
One year of RN experience
Oncology work experience

2.7MB-Urology/General Surgery/Chest , RN, 100% FTE/Full Time (40hours per week), Monday-Friday (no weekends or holidays)

In this position you will be joining fast-paced setting and will provide direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, supervision and coordination if care by others, and coordination of services required for patients in the ambulatory care setting.

**Clinic Float Pool-COVID19 Testing RN**
100% FTE (40 hours per week), variable shift position
Per diem/hourly, variable shift position
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) will perform infection prevention and control activities that include working at COVID testing sites (including community based mobile vans) or other health care locations.
Work includes site set up and taking down site locations, infection prevention practices, patient education, and COVID testing procedure for all ages.
The RN may place orders and document in the electronic medical record, and notify patients of results. The RN may also assist with vaccination for influenza, and other vaccines (such as COVID-19 vaccine, when available).
The RN will assume charge RN responsibilities, when assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to:
• Comfortably work with potentially COVID positive patients
• Perform nasal pharyngeal/other specified swabs on adults and children
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the day
• Work outside regardless of weather
• Work weekends and/or early morning shifts (6AM start)
• Float between testing sites to meet staffing demands

**Pioneer Square/Downtown Programs**
Pioneer Square Downtown Programs are focused on serving Harborview Medical Center’s mission populations. Our primary care clinic sites are designated to serve adults who are homeless, vulnerably housed and low income providing primary medical care by appointment or walk-in. All our programs are located within the community to reduce barriers to care and help establish a medical home that is easily accessible to our most vulnerable neighbors. Working within a model of team medicine, the RN is responsible for complex care coordination, walk-in triage and completing patient care tasks including complex wound care, medication management and patient education in this fast paced, high volume clinic.

100% FTE ( 40 hours per week), Day shift, Monday-Friday.
Pioneer Square Clinic
This position will be assigned primarily at the  Pioneer Square (may be assigned to other Downtown programs, as needed).
Our primary care clinic sites are designated to serve adults who are homeless, vulnerably housed and low income providing primary medical care by appointment or walk-in. Working within a model of team medicine, the RN is responsible for complex care coordination, walk-in triage and completing patient care tasks including complex wound care, medication management and patient education in this fast paced, high volume clinic.

80% FTE ( 32 hours per week), Split day/evening, 4 days a week. Monday-Thursday.  Hours would be 12:30-9pm.
We have a new grant to expand the staffing at the medical clinic in the DESC Main Shelter. This position would work into the evening to treat the residents of the shelter.  The RN would work collaborative with the shelter staff to identify residents that would benefit from medical services.  The position would also collaborate with the existing HMC staff at the main shelter to assure continuity of care.  This position will be primarily sited in the DESC main shelter but may require some time working in one of the other sites in the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs.

75% FTE (30 hours per week)
Mobile Medical Van/Homeless Outreach Nurse
Hiring for nurse to join an interdisciplinary medical team to work with people who are homeless.  The team is part of the Pioneer Square Downtown Programs Healthcare for the Homeless field based program and provides medical support to shelters and day centers.  The nurse works with a medical assistant, primary care provider and patient service specialist.  Presently the mobile medical van is being used as part of the COVID-19 response.  Once the response is complete, the van will be sited at a permanent location to provide medical care to people in shelter and day programs.

**AACS Primary Care Clinics- Care Manager** 
Per-diem Ambulatory Care RN Care Manager position available
Looking for an hourly/per-diem RN/Care Manager to work across Harborview's AACS Primary Care Clinics in providing outpatient care management, population health, transitional care outreach. The per diem hours would be Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

**HCSATS (Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress)**
no positions currently in recruitment (recruitment could resume at any time).
Per diem SANE position (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner).On call position providing care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault including physical exam and forensic evidence collection.  Service currently is provided at Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center at a minimum.  Program may expand in the next year to cover additional facilities in the Seattle area.  40 hour didactic SANE training is provided along with extensive orientation. Minimum availability of 72 hours per month in 12 or 24 hour shifts. Must be able to respond to cases at all 5 hospitals we serve (Harborview, Swedish 1st Hill, Children’s, UW Medical Center and Valley) within a 45 min to 1 hour response time.  Emergency department, Women’s health and/or Pediatric experience preferred.
Current WA State RN License.
