Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a night relief nurse for our Rainforest Recovery department!
Behavioral Health nurses support people with a range of behavioral health issues. They aim to build good relationships with patients to ensure they feel safe and ready to fully participate in the program. A behavioral health nurse has to be sympathetic and non-judgmental. You will need to be able to gain a patient's trust. You will also need to manage emotional situations
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. BSN preferred. Completes annual educational requirements.
License(s): Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license. Must meet education requirement(s) for Alaska State licensure
Certification(s): Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificate. TEAM and BERT
Registered Nurse I: New graduate RN, RNs with less than one (1) year current acute care or comparable experience, or RN with no nursing experience in the past five (5) years. New graduates will remain at the RN I level for at least six (6) months. Must advance to RN II within one year of hire. Proven competency in specialty area.
Registered Nurse II: Advancement from RN I or a minimum of one (1) year continuous recent experience in a comparable patient care setting. Clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of one (1) float area required within one year of attaining RN II status.
Registered Nurse III: Minimum of three years (3) current clinical experience. Advancement from RN III based on BRH Clinical Nurse Advancement Program; approval of Professional Practice Review Board. Proficiency in clinical competency in primary specialty; minimum of one (1) float area.
