Job Description

Responsibilities

You will report to the unit director (UD) of the Emergency Department and serves as an expert clinical leader and role model of best practices for the Emergency Department’s boarding unit called Emergency Care Unit (ECU). You will be responsible for human, clinical, and financial resource management, and will directly supervise the administrative and clinical practices and processes of the ECU to ensure excellent patient experiences and clinical outcomes. You will assist the UD with the active daily management, including but not limited to staffing and related tasks to address resource use, developing and conducting clinical surveillance and workflow audits in day-to-day operations and performing individual coaching and counseling. 

Qualifications

  • BSN or MSN
  • CA RN license
  • Certifications:  BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or equivalent 
  • 2 years minimum of Med-Surg/Tele experience required
  • Preferred: ER experience and leadership experience as a charge nurse or supervisor
