About the Outer Banks Hospital
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Nags Head, NC. The Outer Banks Hospital offers high-quality care in a compassionate environment—it’s what we’re known for on the Outer Banks.
We opened in March 2002 as a joint venture between Vidant Health and Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. Our facility includes eighteen acute care medical-surgical beds, two labor and delivery/recovery/post-partum beds, a level II nursery bed, a designated caesarian section room, three operating rooms, outpatient and diagnostic services along with a 24-hour emergency department. Affiliated with The Outer Banks Hospital is The Outer Banks Medical Group (a Vidant Medical Group partner) which is comprised of nine physician practices.
As a community hospital, we offer a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services. We meet the health care needs of our coastal community, whose year-round population of 35,000 swells to 250,000 in the summer months.

Assists in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a provider. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care.
Must be a licensed practical nurse licensed in the State of North Carolina. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status is required upon hire. Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice. Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to provide care to all patient populations.
Requires at least three months of relative work experience. Working knowledge of equipment utilization, maintenance and safety.
Licensed Practice Nurse required. Minimum of 1-2 yrs experience as an LPN, preferably in a medical office setting or outpatient care setting. Must be able to use a computer.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, position.
This position is Monday-Friday.
