About Vidant Medical Center
Vidant Medical Center is a 900+ bed Level-1 Trauma Center, regional referral hospital and is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health. We serve as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Vidant Medical Center provides acute, intermediate, rehabilitation and outpatient services to more than 1.4 million people in 29 counties. Central Staffing is the float pool for Vidant Medical Center, the primary population will be the unit where the staff is floated.
Registered nurses provide care in conjunction with the nursing assistant and medical team. Assignments are based on the patient’s needs, the geographical location of the patients, and the resources available. The charge nurse does not have a patient assignment. BLS is required upon hire.

Central Staffing RNs float to all divisions within Vidant Medical Center and receive a $5/hr differential in addition to base pay and shift differentials once orientation is completed
Associate Degree is required.
Bachelors Degree is preferred.
0 - 2 years experience is required.
Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.
Basic Life Support is required.
