Providence is calling a Critical Care Technician ( Intensive Care , Day Shift, 0.75 FTE) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:

  • Accept and support the mission and values of Holy Family Hospital.
  • Support the Performance Improvement process.
  • Follow policies related to work attendance and dress code.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Consider individual needs in communication with patients and staff, including ethical, cultural, psychosocial, religious, and age-specific aspects, for young child through the elderly.
  • Support patient rights and the organization’s code of ethical behavior.
  • Follow the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments & Compliance Integrity Program Employee Handbook and any other organizational or departmental materials related to compliance with laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Preceptor in providing initial job training and information to the orientees and assessing their ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.
  • Perform clerical and receptionist activities.
  • Initiate and assist with maintenance of the patient record.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy in the use of the computer to enter and obtain data.
  • Assist in maintaining unit stock supply inventory.
  • Process physician orders.
  • Obtain and delivers items for the unit.
  • Identify lethal cardiac rhythms and rhythm changes.
  • Demonstrate judgment, decision-making skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Gather and communicate patient data.
  • Perform general care activities
  • Perform special procedures
  • Assist/perform physical therapy activities
  • Deliver simple respiratory therapy treatments/activities
  • Develop and maintains the patient record

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of certified nursing assistant course
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) licensure
