We are looking for a Wound Care Nurse with Nursing Administration Department

at St. Mary Medical Center.

Location: Apple Valley, CA

Schedule: Part-time

Shift: Day

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Excellence, the Wound Care Nurse serves as the clinical resource and consultant for wounds of acute care of patient population. This nurse will focus on patients at risk for or with selected integumentary system conditions,such as complex draining wounds and pressure ulcers

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively present written and verbal information.
  • Application of safety principles when performing duties.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a RN in a healthcare setting.
  • Two (2) years acute care ET experience preferred.
  • Training: Wound care training course leading to certification as a Wound Care Certified Nurse

License/Certification:

  • Current California RN License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • (WCCN) or Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse certification (WOCN)
  • Current certification as a Wound Care Certified Nurse (WCCN) or Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse certification (WOCN)

Preferred position requirements:

Education: MS degree preferred
