Nurse Manager, NICU, Full-Time, Days

We're looking for a Nurse Manager to join our NICU team in Albuquerque, NM

This full time job is located at Lovelace Women’s Hospital the first and only hospital in New Mexico dedicated to women’s health, offers a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a natural birthing center, an award-winning breast care center and the first robotic surgery program in the state recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

This manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operation in a very busy NICU unit. Your strong clinical Level IIIB or IV experience is welcomed as you lead our team of about 54 FTE and working side by side sharing demonstrating your current bedside skills. Nurse Manager NICU Job and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operations, personnel and financial management of department(s). Supports the director in achieving optimum performance by ensuring continuity and quality of service and care through the management of overall day-to-day operations.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Nurse Manager NICU Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or progressive nursing/management experience

  • Desired: Master’s degree in Nursing/Business or equivalent

  • Ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, direct, counsel and develop staff; communication and positive employee relation skills; knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance

  • Minimum: Three (3) years previous job related experience.

  • Desired: Five (5) years previous job related experience with minimum 1 year of supervisory experience necessary.

  • Licensure: Valid NM Nursing License or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)

  • Current CPR Certified
