The Registered Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members. The Women's Center Labor & Delivery Staff RN will care for the patient in all stages of labor, ante partum, post partum, and normal newborn and cross-train for Newborn Nursery.
Licenses and Certifications:
Current Texas RN license
CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
NRP certification required within 6-months of hire
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 12-months of hire
Able to care for patients throughout the OB spectrum from labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum includes ante-partum patients and assisting in the nursery
Previous medical surgical or OB nursing experience desired
Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
Critical thinking skills

Computer skills necessary; EMR EPIC documentation
