Job Description

The University of Virginia Health System, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care is seeking to hire multiple Critical Care Nurse Practitioners to staff the intensive care unit at the Culpeper Medical Center located in Culpeper Virginia. This team of Nurse Practitioners will provide 24/7 in-house coverage of the Culpepper ICU with the support of UVA Critical Care board certified Physicians. The team will be expected to diagnose, treat, and manage disease, perform procedures, order and interpret diagnostic tests, speak with patients/families about their conditions, and work well within a multidisciplinary care system. The nurse practitioner is expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of acute/critical care conditions, diagnostics, and treatments.

Masters Degree in Nursing
Prefer active license in the State of Virginia
Experience as a NP in a Critical Care setting
Current BLS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Masters Degree
  • Experience as a NP in a Critical Care setting
  • Current BLS
  • The incumbent must be a nurse practitioner who is licensed to practice in Virginia as a NP or license eligible.
