Job Description

Responsibilities

The Per Diem Oncology RN will perform routine patient care assignments and established nursing procedures in a controlled patient care situation. The Oncology RN will independently coordinate and prioritize tasks by using protocols established by the Department, as well as the policies and procedures established by UCLA Medical Center. The Per Diem RN will float between Westlake Village, Ventura, Encino, Santa Clarita, and Porter RanchQualifications

We’re seeking a self-directed professional with a current California RN license and:
BSN or MSN
BCLS certification
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
Ability to push, pull or carry 30 pounds or more
OCN and PICC line certification preferred
2 years of recent acute care/outpatient oncology experience preferred
Ability travel to a number of different Hem/Onc Community practices within a defined area, providing own means of transportation
Knowledge of the Oncology patient population and practice operations
Background with all aspects of infusion therapy in an oncology setting
Excellent blood withdrawal and IV skills
Knowledge and skill in central line catheters
Ability to use medical diagnostic equipment
Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
