We currently have an opening for a PRN Registered Nurse on our Hematology/BMT unit.
Unit 41 Blood & Marrow Transplant Unit (BMT)
This 20-bed protective environment unit cares for patients in our nationally accredited blood and marrow transplant program. Patients on this unit experience longer stays during their preparative chemotherapy regimens, transplant processes and post-transplant care. These patients often experience prolonged neutropenia and require complex nursing care to ensure optimal outcomes. Nurses are responsible for primary care of stem cell transplant patients, including administration of preparative chemotherapy regimens, infusion of stem cell transplants and administration of supportive intravenous and blood product therapies during the engraftment period.
Unit 42 Hematology/BMT
This 29-bed unit specializes in the treatment of malignant hematology patients. Newly diagnosed oncology patients receive the latest treatment options available. Patients receive multi-agent chemotherapy, blood products, antifungals, antibiotics and antivirals. Three of the rooms on this unit are dedicated to palliative care.
