STAFF NURSE III – PERINATAL EDUCATOR
Natividad offers up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus to candidates hired into a permanent position.
Natividad is accepting applications for a full-time permanent Staff Nurse III - Perinatal Nurse Educator in the Women's & Children's Division. The Nurse Educator is responsible for educational needs in the Women's & Children's Division (including L&D, L&D OR, L&D PACU, OB Triage, Maternal Infant and Nursery).
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Licensure: Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Nursing or the ability to obtain prior to start.
Required Certification: Possession of BLS, ACLS & NRP. STABLE certification is recommended.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the hiring unit with experience in circulating. Proficiency in AORN guidelines and OB Scrub competency is highly desired.

Natividad is a 172-bed acute care hospital owned and operated by Monterey County. As the public safety-net hospital, providing health care to the residents of Monterey County for over 132 years, Natividad provides health care access to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital operates with a medical staff of over 380 physicians and has several specialty clinics and outpatient primary care clinics operated by the Monterey County Health Department.
Natividad is a Level II Trauma Center providing the immediate availability of specialized personnel, equipment, and services to treat the most severe and critical injuries.
Natividad is the only teaching hospital on the Central Coast, through its affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Recognized nationally and internationally as a model program, Natividad’s Family Medicine Residency Program is postgraduate training for physicians specializing in family medicine. About one-third of the graduates remain on the Central Coast to establish a practice.
