Job Summary

The Multi-Skilled Technician is an experienced, healthcare worker who provides both patient care and administrative support.

The MSTs in the OR have all of the responsibilities of the OR Tech, like turning over rooms, holding for prep, stocking supplies and setting up equipment.

Job duties also include:

  1. **Patient Transport:** Assist in the safe and efficient movement of patients between departments, ensuring comfort and documentation.

  1. **ICU/Inpatient Bed Retrieval:** Manage and deliver ICU and inpatient beds as needed, following safety protocols.

  1. **Oncology Case Cart Delivery:** Ensure accurate and timely delivery of oncology case carts with necessary supplies.

  1. **Specimen/Culture Transportation:** Collect and transport specimens and cultures, maintaining sample integrity.

  1. **Supply Pickup:** Retrieve and distribute medical supplies from central storage to various departments.

  1. **Blood Bank Runs:** Transport blood products to required departments, adhering to handling guidelines.

Salary Details:

Hourly rate is determined by years of experience relating to this role and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $20.00, max of salary range is $28.20.

Workdays/Shift/Start Time

Fulltime: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm, (14:30-23:00), 2nd shift (training is required for this role on the 1st shift- Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, (07:00am-15:30pm) for 10-12 weeks).


Required Qualifications

- Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
