Provides on unit and department specific education to nursing and allied health staff through informal and formal education programs. Assists Clinical Directors and Clinical Managers in ensuring staff onboarding, initial & ongoing competency management, skills assessment & development, and career-long opportunities for professional growth. Assists in accreditation and regulatory educational requirements and documentation.

Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s in Nursing
Licensure/Certification:
Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) License; American Heart Association BLS; Additional certifications required as outlined based on assigned department: 6400 2N LDRP- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification from AHA and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); Advanced Fetal Monitoring or Fetal Monitoring RNC 6530 Neonatal ICU Level II- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification from AHA and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support (STABLE) course completion 7420 Surgery Main- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA within 90 days of hire; Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification 7427 Perianesthesia - Main Surgery- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA within 90 days of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA; Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification 9655 Nursing Education- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA within 90 days of hire
Preferred: Certification in Nursing Professional Development; certification in clinical specialty
Experience:
Required: Two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory care clinical setting
Preferred: Clinical education and professional development experience; experience as a clinical leader/ charge nurse or preceptor
