This is a Collective Bargaining Unit Position
The RN works with his/her team partner(s), using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care. The RN serves as a clinical expert and assumes a leadership role on the Patient Care Team. As leader of the team, the RN is responsible for integrating care delivery among team members and directing the team toward the common goal of improved patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
The RN performs a variety of basic age-specific duties in providing comprehensive patient care. All clinical care is done under the direction of the RN who determines appropriate tasks for delegation. Members of the Patient Care Team are responsible for making observations as directed by the RN and reporting deviations to the RN.
Qualifications - Minimum
Education:
Graduate from accredited School of Nursing.
Current RN license in State of Ohio.
Experience:
Must have at least 1 year ER experience. ACLS/PALS a must. Work every other weekend and every other holiday
Knowledge/Skill:
Has broad, fairly detailed level of knowledge of a specific area.
Gathers, organizes, verifies, composes, and/or analyzes data in the completion of several defined, multi-step procedures.
Produces final output within established standards.
May operate complicated equipment/machinery.
Problem Solving/Decision Making:
Makes decisions based on an analysis of facts and general principles.
Requires judgement in selection of alternative courses of action.
Requires risk-taking, judgment, and creativity to identify and analyze problems.
Scope of Impact/Accountability:
Impact is generally focused on immediate work area. May also affect closely related activities in other work units or teams on a temporary basis.
Provides information regularly to decision making process.
Interpersonal Communication:
Frequently advises others on difficult and sensitive issues.
Requires staff management and delegation skills.
Requires understanding others and expectations/perspectives to collaborate and reach consensus on solutions.
