People come from across the country and beyond to enjoy our working environment. We are a regional referral center for children, providing care in a multitude of subspecialties. As a result, we receive patients with a wider variety of health disorders than most community hospitals. Children's Hospital Los Angeles is honored to have received Magnet Recognition for its quality patient care and nursing excellence on February 20, 2008. The nurses of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) were honored with the 2009-2010 Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence.
