What will my day look like?

Don’t worry! Horizon offers comprehensive training and can promise you a day filled with teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of fulfillment!

Here is the nitty gritty about what you’ll do in this role…

  • Assist medical providers with medication management and integration appointments
  • Complete medical assessments
  • Provide education to patients that includes teaching preventative health and wellness skills to promote optimal health
  • Provide health education regarding comorbid conditions to our patient population 
  • Provide education on smoking cessation 
  • Perform touchless searches, conduct supervised toxicologies, and participate in room searches
  • Other duties as defined by the RN Manager

  • Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse License along with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Location

Conveniently located on Elm Street in downtown Buffalo, Terrace House is a 68-bed facility offering stabilization and medically-supervised detox treatment. We provide twenty-four hour care to adult men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal.

Hours

Terrace House is a 24/7/365 facility, so we have a variety of shifts to consider that best meet your needs. This position has a set schedule of full-time, Saturday-Tuesday (ending Wednesday morning) 10:00pm-8:30am! You’ll earn an additional 25% shift differential for your work hours that fall between the hours of 7pm-7am!
