Position Summary / Career Interest: Full-time night and day shifts available. PRN position also available working variety of shift options. This unit specializes in the care of orthopedic patients. Nurses will gain a wealth of knowledge and technical skills in managing a complex set of patients that have just undergone various orthopedic surgeries. Our specialty within the specialty is total joint replacement. We take great care of total joint replacement patient throughout the continuum of their care episode. The Orthopedic patients often have many other complex health problems as well, providing the nurses with an opportunity to gain increasing medical-surgical knowledge and skill. Nurses on Unit 43 quickly become pain management, positioning and mobility experts The Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients. Carries out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population. Coordinates care delivery and education through collaboration with patient, family and all health care team providers to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care. Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care. Performs other duties as assigned.
