Job Description
The primary objective of the Patient Care Coordinator is to proactively manage patient flow while assuring effective, quality care. This is a highly visible position within the organization that requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. In partnership with leadership, the Patient Care Coordinator supports the Emergency Department’s daily patient care and personnel needs. Duties include leading shift huddles, completing patient assignments, supporting daily operations, assuring staff meals, first-line resolution of patient/staff/provider complaints, elevating appropriate items to departmental leadership. Additionally, the Patient Care Coordinators support organizational quality and throughput goals as well as completion of required daily reports and checklists.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Current North Carolina RN licensure (or compact state)
· Minimum two (2) years patient care experience
· Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in FirstHealth of the Carolinas Patient Care Services
· Bachelor of Nursing

FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital has served the emergency, outpatient and acute care needs of the people of Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 50 years. Montgomery Memorial provides acute care for both medical and surgical patients, outpatient surgical services, imaging and other diagnostic services as well as an emergency department that is staffed with 24-hour in-house physician coverage.
A 99-bed community hospital, FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital-A Division of Moore Regional Hospital, serves the emergency, inpatient, outpatient and acute-care needs of the people of Richmond County and the surrounding area. The hospital first opened in 1952 and was originally certified for 50 beds. FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Hoke Campus opened its doors to patients on October 7, 2013, as the first hospital in Hoke County.
