The Nurse Tech in GI Lab provides basic nursing care prior to and post Endoscopic / GI procedures to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. Transport patients to and from GI department. Assists patients via wheel chair to their vehicles post procedure. Cleans, sterilizes, stores and prepares other supplies. Works under immediate supervision. 1 year of prior Hospital experience highly preferred. Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements Education: High School or equivalent required. Post High School vocational / specialized training preferred. Experience: One (1) year experience in hospital or nursing home highly preferred.
