Job Summary 12 West is a 26 bed Joint Commission Accredited Stroke/Neurosciences Unit. The patient scope is those with neurological disorders and both hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke diagnoses. In addition, we accept overflow medical/surgical and trauma patients. Patient age can vary from young adult to the elderly. Typical patient ratio is anywhere from 6-13:1, depending on census and shift with a float NA on all shifts and a designated bath aid in the mornings. This is a high acuity and fast paced unit with an average length of stay of 4 days. A majority of our patients require intensive therapy or skilled nursing interventions upon discharge.
