Job Summary Carilion Clinic Home Care Services is seeking a full time Hospice Team Lead RN position for the New River Valley office located in Radford, VA. This position will support Carilion’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Will serves as a team leader, clinical resource person, role model, mentor, and facilitator for staff and department operations. Is responsible and accountable to lead staff; resolve routine issues, and create a positive, productive, and fiscally responsible team. Remains aware of organizational developments and initiatives and implements as needed for their team. Refers complex or potentially significant issues to manager/supervisor, including but not limited to; issues regarding compensation, work hours, working conditions, hiring, and formal corrective action. Initiates and facilitates effective open two-way communication and resolution of work site operational issues that support service area goals and objectives. In addition to the lead responsibilities, maintains clinical competencies and provides professional care to patients of all ages in response to agency needs. Minimum Qualifications Education : Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse program. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience : Five years of clinical experience required. Demonstrated strong leadership skills, supervisory experience preferred. Home Health/Hospice experience preferred. Licensure/Certification : Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia. AHA BLS-HCP required. Other : Demonstrates leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills. Effective interpersonal, communication, and teambuilding skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Candidate must have exemplary communication skills, Compassion, flexibility and adaptability to change. Must work well with others on a disciplinary team. Must hold them selves as well as others accountable. Must be dependable.
